The works involved working within a live maternity ward environment. This meant full site hoarding was erected to segregate the works and health & safety was paramount. The scope of works involved the complete strip out of the existing ward. This involved the use of enclosed bins for carting materials on and off site. Once the area was stripped out, we were tasked with installing new partitions, flooring, ceilings, clinical spaces including IPS panels and decorations. A full M&E system was designed & built to accommodate the new clinical spaces and a new bespoke reception desk was manufactured and installed by W&L.
